Hot Pursuit was previously titled 'Don't Mess With Texas'. It also stars John Carroll Lynch, Rob Kazinsky, Richard T. Jones, Mike Birbiglia, and Jim Gaffigan.

"An uptight and by-the-book cop (Reese Witherspoon) tries to protect the sexy and outgoing widow (Sofia Vergara) of a drug boss as they race through Texas pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen."
Witherspoon plays a Southern cop who must protect Vergara’s witness after killers target the mismatched pair. It’s a return to broad comedy for Witherspoon after serious turns in Wild and The Good Lie and also marks Vergara’s most high-profile film role to date. Hot Pursuit is a co-production of Warner Bros., New Line, and MGM.
The release date of Hot Pursuit is set to May 8, 2015.
